Mark, Suggest getting on the TBN forum with this question. Some hints though.
Anythings fair between invoice and MSRP particularly with the 2005. Discounts
can change daily according to some I know that work with Ford dealers. |

You will probably get a better deal on an 04 than an 05 since the dealers
are trying to get them off the lots. Some are trying harder than others.

Can anybody give me a rough idea how much would be decent prices on either
a new 04 or 05 TBird? Is it just the standard invoice + a few hundred -
1000 rebate, or is there additional discounting I should expect to be able

Don, Normally the transmission does not need replenishing. Its a sealed
unit. The owners manual and the Dealers service books already have the
correct fluid listed. |

This was a glitch from the source that makes the fluid and the additive
is needed to correct. Normal servicing is at 100K though it can be done
sooner. |

Just received a letter from Ford asking that I take my 04 Bird to the dealer
to add transmission fluid additive, designed to correct improperly formulated
fluid installed at the factory. |

It is to prevent possible delayed or harsh reverse engagements. Does anyone
know what fluid to use in the future? Dealer says they have not yet received
information. |

partial interior. I loved hers so much I bought a used 2002 inspiration
