History - This is how new owners managed the wait in 2001.  "We sent spies out" **  to look for these cars at the plant.  The following photos were taken as Ford was starting the actual shipment of these cars to dealerships after a month long hold in August/September  while a part was replaced.  Ford had started shipments the last week of July and into August when the decision was made to halt further shipments and return those in transit.  Some owners had the "priviledge" of seeing their cars make it to the railhead in their city only to have the car loaded back on the trains and returned.  One owner even had the chance to sit in his car in mid-August (pays to have connections with the railyard dispatcher)  but had to watch it get loaded back on a railcar and return to Wixom.  His was not returned until late September 2001.
