THUNDER will be different from past events. This event can be
totally customized by each attendee. ALL attendees must pay a registration
fee of $100 PER CAR to cover such things as goody bags, dash plaque, mailings,
entertainment, car wash supplies, door prizes, incidentals, etc. After
that you get to design and pay for the event YOU are interested in. Every
effort is being made to make events and venues outstanding in content and
value. Most folks will not want to miss a minute of all the action. If
a couple chooses to attend all of the major components (and we highly recommend
you do!), order a representative amount of clothing and order a couple
of customized ribbon magnets to raise funds for SGK their total registration
cost should just be a little over $500. Single attendees will also find
great value as well.

MONDAY NIGHT – You will DEFINITELY want to attend one of Oklahoma's greatest attractions, DISCOVERYLAND! Only $30 PER PERSON gets you a ribeye steak sandwich ranch style dinner and a night of outstanding entertainment under the stars in a 5,000-seat amphitheater.
TUESDAY– DO NOT MISS Hallett Motor Racing Circuit! This will be THE event of HEARTLAND THUNDER. We only have limited spaces so do not spend much time thinking about this one. Only $80 PER CAR will get you shared use of a helmet, lunch and track time that you’ll be telling your neighbors about when you get home and for months! Your passenger, if you have one, doesn’t have to be left out as they can share time with you (as a passenger if enough helmets are available or by sharing the driving time with you). If sharing a helmet with others is not your cup of tea then you are welcome to bring your own DOT approved helmet (good motorcycle helmets are fine). An excellent boxed lunch and drink will be available for $10 EACH for passengers or other guests. IF YOU PLAN ON PARTICIPATING AT HALLETT, PLEASE INDICATE ON THE BACK OF YOUR REGISTRATION FORM ANY AND ALL TYPES OF PREVIOUS TRACK TIME YOU HAVE HAD IN THE PAST. This will help us decide the best group to place you in for participation on the Hallett track. To round out the rest of your day we highly recommend you visit the Gilcrease Museum of the Americas. A nominal fee of $5 PER PERSON, paid at the door, will open your eyes to many of the most beautiful pieces of western art in the world.
WEDNESDAY– The morning will include cruising east on old Route 66. There are dozens of potential activities all along the way that have nominal or no fees associated with them. In the afternoon you will definitely want to visit the Darryl Starbird Custom Car Museum and Hall of Fame. For $5 PER PERSON you’ll get to experience some of the coolest custom cars on the planet. As evening rolls around we will gather at the Cherokee Queen paddleboat for our HEARTLAND THUNDER exclusive dinner cruise that will feature a “Taste of Oklahoma” Buffet, entertainment and beautiful scenery as we cruise the Grand Lake o’ the Cherokees. This special event only costs $40 PER PERSON and will leave us wishing we could do it all again.
THURSDAY – Currently this day is designed to afford attendees an opportunity to see and experience parts of the area they are most interested in learning more about. All of the activities available are reasonably priced and are pay as you go. Please read the more detailed description available on the thread mentioned above. Some other surprises are being worked on for this day but have not been finalized yet. Please select the tour you are most interested in at this point – this information will give us some idea if we’ll be able to pursue group discounts at some of the venues. Thursday evening will be jam-packed with activities at our closing banquet. We’ll have our charity auction and entertainment galore. You just won’t want to miss it and at $40 PER PERSON there is no reason to do so.
EVENT CLOTHING SALES – Our good friends at Thunderbird Emporium will be handling all of our event clothing needs. Please order the clothing items of interest to you when you send in your registration form. EVENT CLOTHING WILL NOT BE FOR SALE AT HEARTLAND THUNDER. Please note that all clothing except the sleeveless denim shirt come in men’s sizes so order accordingly. The official caps, T-shirts and polo shirts will come in a light beige color with the HEARTLAND THUNDER logo in pink and teal. A portion of all clothing sales will go to the SGK Foundation. Thunderbird Emporium will also have other exclusive items available for purchase with the HEARTLAND THUNDER logo prior to the event. Again, a portion of these proceeds will be donated to SGK.
PAYMENT – A personal check or money order made out to HEARTLAND THUNDER is the preferred source of payment. Please check your form over to make sure all activities you want to participate in and clothes you want to order are chosen and paid for at the time of registration. PAYPAL may be used for payment, but a 3% PROCESSING FEE (ROUNDED UP to the nearest dollar please) must be included with the payment. If you pay via PAYPAL please send in the registration form and indicate on it that you have paid via PAYPAL.
WIN A FREE ROOM – One lucky person/couple will win a free 5 night stay at the Embassy Suites. Those received in 2006 before the cut off date of April 23rd will have 1 chance to win.
Tour for the Cure– Remember our secondary purpose for the event will be to donate a significant sum of money to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Our original goal was set at $10,000. We are excited to announce that a contribution of $3,300 has already been received from a group of former event planners!! With this great head start it may not be out of the question to double our original goal. As already demonstrated, Thunderbird owners are some of the most generous people in the world – lets show the world just HOW generous we are. Various fund raising opportunities will be presented prior to and during the event. The first are the customized event logo pink magnetic ribbons listed on the registration form. Proceeds from these will go the SGK and they will be sent to event participants prior to HEARTLAND THUNDER for use in caravans to the event. We suggest getting 2 - one for each side of the car. Remember – THINK PINK!!!
